# Quick start: from sign-up to your first clips

Create your ViralNote account, upload a video, and publish your first AI-generated clips in a few minutes.

ViralNote turns your long-form videos into short, viral-ready clips and publishes them across your social platforms. This guide walks you from sign-up to your first published clips.

## 1. Create your account

Go to [dashboard.viralnote.app](https://dashboard.viralnote.app) and sign up. Everything runs in your browser — there's nothing to install.

## 2. Connect a social account

Before you publish, connect at least one platform (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, or X) from **Settings → Connections**. You can still generate and download clips without connecting an account, but connecting lets ViralNote schedule and auto-post for you.

## 3. Upload your first video

Click **Upload** and select a long-form video — a podcast episode, webinar, interview, or livestream works best. ViralNote analyzes the audio and identifies the most engaging moments.

The best source videos are:

- **Conversational** — spoken content, not music or silence
- **30–90 minutes long** — long enough to contain many distinct moments
- **Clear audio** — captions and clip selection rely on understanding speech

## 4. Review your AI-generated clips

Once processing finishes, ViralNote presents a set of suggested clips, each with a generated caption. Open any clip to:

- Edit the caption text and styling
- Reframe to vertical (9:16) for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
- Trim the start and end points

## 5. Schedule or publish

When a clip is ready, schedule it to one or more connected accounts. ViralNote formats it for each platform and posts at the time you choose.
