- Sign up free with no card — connect channels, create drafts, and build a mini page. Unlock publishing with a 7-day Publish trial (card required). Unless canceled, the trial converts automatically to Publish ($18/mo) on the card added at checkout; the user is emailed before it ends. Cancel anytime before it ends and you won’t be charged. If the trial was canceled, the account falls back to draft-only when it ends: reads and drafts keep working; publish and schedule calls return HTTP 403 with error code payment_required and an upgrade link.
- AI clipping is never part of the trial; it requires Pro or Agency.
- A permanent email address is required. Disposable email domains are rejected at signup.

## Limits

## Agents and the API

MCP and REST API access are included on every paid plan. During the trial an agent can connect, create, schedule, and publish. After the trial, reads and drafts keep working; publish and schedule return HTTP 403 with `error.code = "payment_required"`, an `upgrade` URL, and a `checkout` hint.

When publish or schedule returns payment_required, call start_checkout (POST /api/v1/billing/checkout, body {"plan": "publish"}) and hand the returned checkoutUrl to the account owner. They add a card on Stripe; nothing is charged by the call itself. Then call get_billing until canPublish is true and retry. Accounts that already subscribe change plans on the billing page.
