Analytics about clip performance is based on ViralNote platform activity and content you upload directly to ViralNote — not on Google user data obtained via Google APIs.

Any information received from Google APIs (including Google Sign-In and YouTube API data) is used only to provide or improve ViralNote's user-facing features — for example, account sign-in, account management, and video clip generation. We do not use Google user data for analytics, advertising, marketing, profiling, or fraud and abuse detection unrelated to delivering the service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party service providers who help us operate our platform (e.g., cloud storage, payment processing)

When you delete your account, we immediately:

• Revoke all connected Google and YouTube OAuth tokens via Google's revocation endpoint
• Permanently delete all uploaded content, generated clips, and library files associated with your account from our storage systems
• Delete your account data from our database

Certain records may be retained where required by law (e.g., billing records for tax compliance). Source video files uploaded for clip processing are deleted automatically after processing completes, regardless of account status.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

12. Google API Services, YouTube Data & Limited Use Disclosure

ViralNote's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

12.1 Google Sign-In

When you sign in with Google, we receive your:

• Name
• Email address
• Profile picture

This information is used solely for:

• Account authentication
• Account identification within ViralNote
• Providing core platform functionality

12.2 YouTube Data

ViralNote's use of YouTube API Services also complies with the YouTube Terms of Service.

If you connect your YouTube account, ViralNote may access:

• Basic channel information (e.g., channel name, channel ID)
• Video metadata (e.g., title, description, tags)
• Video content necessary to generate clips
• Permission to upload videos on your behalf (if you use the publishing feature)

We use this data solely to:

• Analyze your videos to generate searchable clips
• Suggest optimized short-form content
• Upload clips to YouTube if you choose to publish through ViralNote

We do not:

• Use YouTube data for advertising
• Sell or share YouTube data with third parties
• Use YouTube data to build user profiles unrelated to ViralNote functionality
• Use YouTube data for AI model training
• Retain YouTube data beyond what is necessary to provide our services

Video content processed to generate clips is deleted from our servers automatically after processing completes — it is not retained long-term. Deleting your account also permanently deletes all associated YouTube content and clips from our storage.

You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from within ViralNote. Doing so immediately revokes our OAuth token via Google's revocation endpoint and deletes the connection from our records. You can also revoke access directly via your Google Account permissions page.

12.3 Google AI APIs

ViralNote may use Google AI services (such as Gemini) to:

• Analyze uploaded content
• Generate captions and transcripts
• Identify optimal clip segments
• Improve content search functionality

Content processed through Google AI APIs is used solely to provide ViralNote's core features and is not used to train generalized AI models outside your account.

12.4 Limited Use Compliance

ViralNote does not:

• Use Google user data for advertising purposes
• Transfer Google user data to data brokers
• Use Google user data for surveillance
• Use Google user data for credit scoring or insurance
• Use Google user data for analytics unrelated to providing our service

ViralNote does not allow humans to read Google user data unless:

• Required for security purposes (e.g., investigating abuse)
• Required for legal compliance
• Explicitly approved by the user

Any data obtained through Google APIs is treated with the security standards described in this policy and is never used in a manner inconsistent with Google's policies.
