ViralNote vs PostPlanify: Where the Post Cap Bites

The account math is not what it looks like

Both products advertise '5 accounts' at the entry tier and they mean different things by it.

PostPlanify Starter gives you 5 social accounts total. Connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and LinkedIn and you are full — a second Instagram handle means upgrading to Growth at around $39/month.

ViralNote Publish gives you 5 accounts on each of 10 networks. That is up to 50 connections for $18/month. A creator running a personal brand and two client handles across six networks fits comfortably inside the entry plan.

The post cap compounds it. Starter allows 200 posts a month. If you are publishing one thing a day to five accounts, that is 150 and you are fine. If you cut fifteen clips from a podcast and push each to four networks, that is 60 posts from one recording session — three sessions and you are done for the month.

None of this makes PostPlanify bad. It makes it priced for a steady, moderate cadence rather than for video repurposing at volume.

What PostPlanify has that we do not

The social inbox, and it is not a small thing.

PostPlanify pulls DMs and comments from every connected network into a single view, so responding to your audience happens where you post rather than in seven separate apps. Users consistently name it as the feature that justifies the subscription, and that tracks — engagement is half of what growing an account actually involves.

ViralNote has no inbox at all. We publish, we read back per-post engagement metrics, and that is where our involvement ends. If someone replies to your clip, you find out on the platform.

PostPlanify also supports team workspaces and approval flows from its higher tiers. ViralNote is single-operator by design — no seats, no roles, no approval queue. For a solo creator that is simplicity; for anyone with a collaborator it is a hard limit.

If either of those describes your workflow, the rest of this page does not matter much.

What we have that they do not

Two things, both upstream and downstream of the posting itself.

The clipping pipeline is the obvious one. ViralNote Pro takes a long video, scores the transcript for hook strength and payoff, and returns clip candidates with confidence scores and suggested platforms. Captions burn in with word-level emphasis, the 9:16 reframe tracks the speaker's face, filler words can be stripped, and speaker diarization handles two-person recordings. 500 minutes a month at $38. PostPlanify's AI writes captions; it does not touch video.

The second is agent control. ViralNote ships 15 native MCP tools, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can clip an episode, schedule the results across networks, and read back which ones performed — all inside one conversation, no dashboard. PostPlanify has no first-party MCP server, so an assistant would need an automation layer in between.

Which set matters more is genuinely a question about your workflow rather than a question about which product is better.
